Hello! My name is Amy and I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor registered with the British Association of Counselling Practitioners (BACP)

Iā€™m a straightforward, relaxed professional counsellor. I started studying and working in the field over mental health over 20 years ago. Having had my own experiences with undiagnosed ADHD, depression, anxiety and eating disorders and having gone through my own counselling journey I wanted use the knowledge and understanding I had acquired to support others with mental health difficulties.

Since then I have worked in a range of settings including but not exclusively a music production bus where I mentored and provided pastoral care to young people who were not in education or training, as pastoral support to a large music college in London, with a music company providing employment support to people in long term unemployment who were looking to work in the music industry, a primary school providing counselling for parents and in private practice for 5 years.

For me the best results come from having a genuine and honest relationship between myself and my clients which is built on mutual respect and empathy.

I have experience in working with clients to help overcome a range of issues including:

  • Attachment difficulties

  • Anxiety

  • ADHD

  • Anorexia

  • Confidence

  • Eating disorders/disordered eating

  • Early childhood trauma
