• Working with Amy has been hugely beneficial for my mental health and wellbeing. As someone with ADHD who works in the creative industries, I've struggled a lot with unpredictable routines and managing a very irregular financial and emotional environment. Amy's sessions are warm and deeply practical, figuring out and working through underlying problems in a supportive way and finding achievable, realistic ways to take better care of myself, and enjoy everything more! Highly recommend for anyone struggling with a range of mental health challenges.

  • When I met Amy I was a mess, I wasn’t necessarily actively suicidal but I had lost any interest in being alive. I had tried counselling previously and it had been a total disaster – potentially a bad match, which left me feeling ‘unfixable’. Counselling with Amy couldn’t have been more different, she is insightful and supportive - but more than that conversations with her feel real and human. She created a safe space but without negating the ability to offer gentle criticism and constructive solutions. We also have similar humour and that helped a huge amount. I was clear at the start that I didn’t really need a listening service (I talk for a living) – I wanted actions and steps both of which she provided. I was also clear that I wanted this to be an active process – with an end point. This too was mirrored in her approach and I immediately felt like I’d been heard. In the simplest terms, my sessions with Amy lead to me being able to feel actual and genuine joy again and that has sprung into every corner of my life. I think it stems from the knowledge that I will be ok, whatever happens, whatever comes my way – I have a renewed belief in my own ability to handle it – after all I’ve made it this far.

  • I have been working with Amy for over a year and I cannot begin to express how valuable it has been for my life, my relationships, and my mental and emotional well-being. I found Amy at a difficult time and walking into her room for that first session, I was quite scared. But her attentive, compassionate and genuinely caring nature helped to ease that feeling. Since then, through every challenge, difficult moment, and positive and negative experience, she has always been there to listen and offer guidance, and she has never failed to help me find the right path forward. She has helped me to understand myself, and to reflect on my past actions, experiences, choices, and decisions, in order to reach a better place. She has offered comfort at times, and pushed me at others, depending on what was required, and I am grateful to her for each. I wouldn’t be where I am without both. Amy has helped me to see, understand, and feel things I was never able to before. I understand myself far better than I did when we first met, and I am a far better person now than I was then, thanks to her guidance and support. I have learned so much about the person I was, the person I am, and the person I want to be. The value of all three of those things cannot be understated and none of them would have been possible without Amy. I feel I am experiencing life in a fuller, richer and more meaningful way since we began working together. My relationships are stronger than ever, I have built new and meaningful connections, and I have begun to interact with the people around me on a level that I never allowed myself to before. I am more in touch with my own emotions, as well as those of the people around me, and this has made me, I hope, a kinder and more empathetic person. I am understanding the value of allowing myself to be vulnerable with the people I can trust. Doors I thought closed to me are suddenly open.
